Website sign-up forms

When you use the free guide download or the discount-ladder claim form on our website, we collect:

  • your email address
  • your first name
  • whether you ticked the consent checkbox on that form, and which version of its wording you agreed to (consent_version)
  • a salted hash of the IP address you submitted from, used only for abuse prevention
  • the date and time of your submission

The lead-magnet download and discount-ladder signup forms require your first name and email address. We use your first name only to personalize follow-up emails from RawCloser, such as addressing you by name. We store it together with your email address and consent record. We do not share your first name with third parties and do not use it for any other purpose.

The free guide download requires no further action from us: the download link is shown to you immediately after you submit. The discount-ladder claim records your interest only -- nothing is granted automatically, and we follow up by hand.

If the form page was reached through a RawCloser Instagram advertisement, the page URL may contain a campaign or advertising label. When the form is submitted, RawCloser may use that label to maintain an aggregate daily count of submissions attributed to the advertisement. The label is not stored with the form submission, email address, name, or another identifier, and no browser cookie or local-storage value is used for this purpose.

The thank-you page may also use sessionStorage during the current browser-tab session to keep the requested guide's download link available. The link contains a random token that RawCloser's server associates with your sign-up record. The token contains no email address or name, does not expire automatically, and remains valid until the associated token or record is deleted or invalidated. It is used to retrieve the requested guide and is not used for advertising, analytics, or tracking.

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@rawcloser.com. You can also withdraw optional Meta advertising measurement through the Privacy choices link.

Meta advertising measurement

For this aggregate measurement, RawCloser may receive a validated advertising or campaign label in the page URL when the form is submitted. The label is used only to maintain a daily aggregate count of submissions attributed to that label. It is not linked to the lead record, email address, name, or another personal identifier, and no cookie or value stored in the browser is used for this purpose.

RawCloser may collect and use the Meta click identifier only after optional consent for Meta advertising measurement. Without that consent, RawCloser does not read, store, or send the Meta click identifier for advertising measurement.

RawCloser does not use Meta Pixel, Meta scripts, Meta SDKs, or Meta advertising cookies. After optional consent, RawCloser may send limited server-side event data to Meta through the Conversions API.

On the resources pages, RawCloser provides a consent banner for optional Meta advertising measurement, and a persistent Privacy choices link in the site footer lets you accept, reject, or change your choice.

If you select optional Meta advertising measurement, RawCloser may send a confirmation email to the address you enter to verify that you control it. Until you complete the single-use confirmation link, RawCloser does not send your email address, including in hashed form, to Meta. Resend processes the address as RawCloser's email-delivery processor. See the Privacy Policy for details.

RawCloser does not send your first name to Meta for this advertising-measurement activity.

The forms and signup notices may include the following categories of data where optional Meta measurement is enabled: consent records, the Meta click identifier, limited event records, hashed email for later trial and purchase events, and short-lived live browser user-agent data for web events. See the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion details.

Meta is listed as an independent recipient/controller for this activity. The applicable Meta entity and international-transfer mechanism will be identified once confirmed from the Meta account terms.

RawCloser may use limited server-side event data for Meta advertising measurement. It does not use this feature as general website analytics.

16. Your rights

Data subjects may exercise the following rights, in the cases provided by law, to:

  • access your data
  • correct your data
  • delete your data
  • restrict processing
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest
  • object at any time to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes
  • withdraw consent
  • receive a portable copy of certain data
